I guess I’d better say something about myself although I sometimes wonder what the point is since it could all be a complete fabrication!
I’m English, trained in geography at Auckland University, New Zealand (MA physical geography with a resource management/environment/cultural slant). In NZ I mostly worked in planning. I’ve travelled a bit and ended up in France where I taught English while studying pollution control with the Open University, UK. I also renovated our house – good practical experience!
Trying to get an interesting job in France was not as easy as I’d hoped so I did a master’s course at Bordeaux in industrial environment and risk management. Still no job in sight so I set up on my own – this part of France is dominated by smaller businesses so employing someone like me on a salary is not very common!
My company is called CEM Environnement & Risques. I’m ready to help with any environmental or risk management work you may need doing for you in France or on projects where both languages/cultures are involved.
Technically I’m a generalist with knowledge and experience of regulatory aspects, rural, coastal and estuarine environments, urban/rural planning, environment and security management systems, and sustainability issues in general. I’m keen to work with multidisciplinary teams and/or subcontract as necessary. You can contact me via cemer@neuf.fr
